Referral Rewards (The Phoenix Thank You Train)

You have a lot of choices when it comes to construction companies, so we want to thank you for not only choosing Phoenix Restoration, but for spreading the word to your friends, family, and community. 

We are proud of the service we provide and the quality of each job, and in our experience, we know you are too. 

For years, we let our customers refer us for our quality and excellence with no reward beyond what we’d already done.  

People seemingly handed our name out as a gift to us. As a thank you. Of course, we want to humbly accept a gift. I think that’s a good character trait. 

Most people might be insulted if you tried to pay them, in any form, for a gift. We’ve probably all been in the situation where we’re doing for others, or giving to others, with 100% no expectation of something in return. Every now and then you end up in a little back and forth battle over a person accepting your gift. Sometimes the gift is the littlest thing. I’m sure you can think of a few times that’s happened to you. 

Anyway, people gave out our name quite a bit. We really won a lot because of such gracious people. We’re really thankful.

On the flip side, every now and then one of our reps would come in and say something like “Mr. Jones says he has a big family and that he loves us, but being that he’s basically the Monopoly man, he wants to know if there’s a reward for him?”  

And of course, without hesitation, we’d more or less say yes.  

Relationships have gifts, and relationships are also give and take. I think all healthy relationships are like that. Neither situation takes a second thought. 

After I signed off and delivered Mr. Jones’ reward, it got me to thinking that he probably spent a lot of time communicating with his family on our behalf.  

I was more than thankful to give him a reward, and he was more than thankful to receive it. 

We thanked him for choosing Phoenix, he thanked us for a job well done, he thanked us again by referring us, we thanked him with a reward in hand, and he thanked us for that reward.  

Plus, we’re now on the thank you train with his whole family.  

That’s a lot of thank-yous. Who doesn’t want a world full of gratitude?  

I know it seems like a simple thing, but customers like Mr. Jones have me wondering how many people might have just felt awkward asking for something in return.  

If it’s a gift, we’re thankful. If it’s give and take, we’re still thankful. At the end of the day, we’re just thankful for our relationship, whatever that looks like. 

We all like thank-yous. 

If a reward encourages more of that, then I say, ‘Let’s make it official.’  

Let’s just take the difficult ask out of it. Your reward is on the table if you want it and we’re happy that you take it. 

That being said, we have developed an official Phoenix Restoration Referral Reward program to give back to our customers who refer us to their friends, family, and community.  

It’s our way of thanking you for thanking us and passing that along to the people you know who are in need of our services.
